I purchased this fine old Brit bike several years ago as a project. It had a mysterious electrical short and I replaced the whole wiring harness on the bike and then moved on to other areas. I will give you the specifics about the work done if you contact me.A previous owner converted the Bonney to a single carburetor using the head from the Tiger model (TR-7). Collins Cycle, a very reputable Triumph dealer, did the work and therefore the whole top end was freshened up. This was a common modification done to make the tuning of the bike simpler. I do have another carb and air box if you wish to convert back to original but I don’t have the Bonneville head.The Bike is in good running order and is quick and responsive. It is a kick-start but will usually start on the first or second kick if the pre-start routine is followed. The tank has been re-painted and is not the original color.
